In 1969, Hobbs was included in the FIA list of graded drivers, an elite group of 27 drivers who are ranked among the best in the world. He was inducted into the Motorsports Hall of Fame of America in 2009.
His acting credits include numerous TV shows, as well as the feature films "Emerald City," Mike Leigh's "Another Year," and the upcoming "The Holding."
Hobbs is also the majority owner of David Jobbs Honda in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
