David Hornsby stars in "How to Be a Gentleman" on CBS as Andrew Carlson. He is also the creator and an executive producer on the comedy series that is based on the best-selling book series of the same name.

David Hornsby is perhaps best known for playing the frequently humiliated, defrocked priest Matthew Mara, aka Rickety Cricket, on the popular FX comedy series "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia." Hornsby has appeared in numerous episodes since the show's second season, and his character remains a fan favorite. He is also an executive producer on the series.

Hornsby also voices the lead character on the Nickelodeon animated series, "Fanboy and Chum Chum." His other television credits include recurring roles on HBO's "Six Feet Under" and CBS's "Center of the Universe," as well as series regular roles on ABC's "Jake in Progress," UPN's "The Mullets" and Spike TV's faux reality series, "The Joe Schmo Show." He has also guest-starred on numerous series, including"ER," "Dirt," "The Unit" and "The West Wing."

Hornsby starred in the 2008 Sundance Film Festival premiere of Paul Schneider's "Pretty Bird," opposite Paul Giamatti and Billy Crudup. His additional feature film credits include "Alien Vs. Predator - Requiem," Clint Eastwood's "Flags of our Fathers," Steven Spielberg's "Minority Report," "Alien vs. Predator: Requiem," "Christmas with the Kranks," starring Tim Allen, and Michael Bay's "Pearl Harbor."

Hornsby is a graduate of the prestigious theater program at Carnegie Mellon University. He was born in Newport News, Virginia, grew up in Houston and currently resides in Los Angeles.
