David Schroeder from "Ax Men" is a member of the Rygaard Logging crew in the History Channel reality docu-series.
David Schroeder is a 22-year-old Port Angeles, Washington, native. He is a single father of a 4-year-old boy whom he describes as both a handful and his main motivation. By trade, David is a carpenter. But because of the downturn in the economy, he's looking to get into a different business so he can support his family. David describes his limited understanding of the logging industry like this: "There's a tank and they use cables to pull logs." Despite this, the slightly cocky and admittedly competitive rookie expects to excel at logging. "I'm always one of the best," he explains. "I like to show people what I got. You just have to see me in action." David is as green as they get with a lot to lose if he fails at logging. His son is depending on him—not only to provide for him financially, but to come home at the end of every day.
