David Walmsley stars in "Of Kings and Prophets" on ABC as Joab. He previously starred as Rick Macy in BBC America's post-zombie apocalypse drama "In the Flesh," which won the BAFTA award for Best Television Mini Series in 2014.

British actor David Walmsley trained at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, where he appeared in stage productions of "Summer Folk," "Hands Across the Sea," "When Five Years Pass," "A Midsummer Night's Dream," "Tipping the Velvet," "King Lear," "The Pajama Game,"
"Agamemnon," "The Way of the World," "Mountain Language," "Free State" and "The Seagull." Since graduation, he has performed in "War Horse" at the National Theatre in the West End and "The London Merchant" at the Theatre Royal Bury St. Edmunds.

On UK television, Walmsley was seen in an episode of the long-running BBC soap opera "Doctors." He also was heard in the radio production of "Tom Jones," directed by Jane Morgan.

On the big scree, Walmsley can be seen in the remake of "Ben-Hur," alongside Jack Huston and Morgan Freeman.

Walmsley enjoys singing, performing acrobatics, scuba diving and juggling.
