Demore Barnes stars as Hector Williams in CBS's "The Unit."

Demore Barnes's acting career began when he landed a role in the Canadian sketch comedy show "Squawk Box." Demore Barnes's television credits include the Canadian series "The Associates," for which he won the Black Film Award for Best Performance in a dramatic series and two Gemini Award nominations for Best Lead Actor in a dramatic series.

Demore Barnes's other television credits include the Canadian children's show "Street Cents" and movies "White Lies," "Second String" and "Blackout."

Demore Barnes enjoys snowboarding and rock climbing. Demore Barnes strongly supports Wing Haven, a charity that helps abused women and children flee to a safe haven that also provides psychological and spiritual support, self-enrichment opportunities and future planning services.

Demore Barnes appeared in the feature film "Steal This Movie."

Demore Barnes was born and raised in Toronto and lives in Los Angeles.
