Devan Jones from "American Idol 2012," whose full name is Devan Blake Jones, is rumored to be one of the top 60 contestants in Season 11 of the FOX reality singing competition.

Devan Jones ("American Idol") is an R&B singer who was born in Redondo Beach, California, but was raised in Denver, Colorado. He honed his voice in church and is a protégé of Nathan Reid with whom he filmed a series of acoustic sets at Mercury Sauce called "The Living Room Sessions." Jones is a vocalist for the afrobeat ensemble Atomga Groove Alliance. He takes inspiration from the likes of Adele, Amy Winehouse, Daniel Beddingfield, Al Green, Marvin Gaye, Brian McKnight and Mariah Carey, among others.

Jones says, "I was a big nerd for a while. No one noticed me until I started singing; people started to get to know me because of that. That was when I realized people would respect me for my talent. I'm most happy when I'm singing, so that's what I would do."

In his spare time, he enjoys running, hiking, reading and writing.
