Diann Valentine hosts TNT's reality series, "Wedding Day."
Ask R&B singer Usher or any of the other clients that have experienced the magic of Diann Valentine, and they will tell you that she is more than a wedding coordinator. She's a creative force, a weaver of dreams.
As president of D.R. Valentine & Associates, Inc., a Pasadena-based wedding, events and interior design firm, Valentine has become one of the most sought-after lifestyle designers in the industry, with a discerning clientele that has turned to her unmatched style to design every aspect of their special day.
Valentine sees her job as helping clients uncover their own creative spirit. In a sea of celebrity sameness, she doesn't believe in doing anything twice, thus making each event a new opportunity to design a unique experience, something special and fabulous. She has done that for clients like R&B songstress Toni Braxton, actress Lela Rochon, Boyz II Men crooner Shawn Stockman and neo-soul singer Kelis. Whether the occasion is a funky bohemian vibe, an elegant formal affair or a fairytale soiree, Valentine is blessed with the creative talent to take a mere concept and transform it into an awe-inspiring experience.
Leading a team that ranges anywhere from six to 400 depending on the event, Valentine produces numerous events annually, the majority being weddings. She has also orchestrated private affairs for actor/comedians Cedric "The Entertainer" and Martin Lawrence, Bishop and Mrs. T. D. Jakes and actress Elise Neal. Corporate clients like Nike, FedEx and Schieffelin & Somerset have also turned to D.R. Valentine & Associates to design special events.
In 2004, Valentine launched Interiors Valentine Style, an interior design division within her conglomerate. Her elegant rooms have already been featured in the Los Angeles Times and Essence magazine.
The latest stop on Valentine's creative journey is a publishing house. Her coffee table book, "Weddings Valentine Style," was released in January 2006. Published by Atria, a division of Simon and Schuster, the book features the weddings of some of the most beautiful and savvy brides.
