Dorian Missick stars in "Haven" on Syfy in the recurring role of Tommy Bowen, a street smart Boston detective who comes to town investigating a suspected serial killer case. A shrewd, calculating policeman, he's also a fish out of water, completely mismatched with this L.L. Bean world.

Dorian Missick garnered attention for his role as Hugh Grant's confidant in the romantic comedy "Two Weeks Notice." Since then he has been a rising star in the world of entertainment. He played Samuel L. Jackson's son in the crime drama "Freedomland," which co-starred Julianne Moore, and acted alongside Sir Ben Kingsley, Morgan Freeman and Josh Hartnett in the thriller "Lucky Number Slevin." Missick can also be seen in a leading part opposite Zoe Saldana in the independent comedy, "Premium," and with Jon Heder and Diane Keaton in "Mama's Boy" for Warner Independent. More recently, he was seen in "The Bounty Hunter," starring Jennifer Aniston and Gerard Butler.

Previous film credits include "The Manchurian Candidate," "50 Ways to Leave Your Lover," "Undermind" and "Shaft."

On television, Missick recurs in TNT's cop drama "Southland" as Detective Ruben Robinson and recently starred in NBC's "The Cape." Other notable appearances occurred on the series "Sons of Anarchy," "Bones," "Raising the Bar," "Numb3rs," "Law & Order: SVU," "CSI: NY," "Conviction," "NYPD Blue," "Philly" and "Buffy the Vampire Slayer." In addition, he was a series regular on the short-lived ABC series, "Six Degrees" as Damian, a towncar driver who is trying to overcome his criminal past with honest work.

The versatile actor's repertoire includes theater as well. In 2005 Missick starred off-Broadway in the Pulitzer Prize-winning drama, "A Soldier's Play," with Anthony Mackie and Taye Diggs, at the Second Stage Theater.

Missick currently resides in New York City.
