Drea de Matteo as Adrianna La Cerva on "The Sopranos" Drea de Matteo Pictures Drea de Matteo stars on ABC's "Desperate Housewives" as Angie Bolen. Drea de Matteo joined the cast for Season 6. Drea de Matteo is best known for her role as Adriana, Christopher''s loyal and loving fiancée, on HBO''s critically-acclaimed "The Sopranos." Drea de Matteo won an Emmy and received a Golden Globe nomination for that role. After her famed death on "The Sopranos," Drea de Matteo went on to star as Matt Le Blanc''s hilarious sister, Gina, on NBC''s "Joey." Drea de Matteo was also a series regular on the FX show "Sons of Anarchy." On the big screen Drea de Matteo filmed "Walker," with Sam Shepard, Jason Patric and Zoe Cassavettes, and "Broken English" with Parker Posey. Most recently Drea de Matteo wrapped "New York, I Love You," directed by Yvan Attal and Allen Hughes. Drea de Matteo has also been seen in "Assault on Precinct 13," alongside Ethan Hawke and Laurence Fishburne, and "Prey for Rock N'' Roll," with Gina Gershon. In March 2002, Drea de Matteo was in MGM's film "Deuces Wild." Produced by Martin Scorcese and directed by Scott Kalvert ("Basketball Diaries") this 1950's gang pic stars a huge ensemble cast including Matt Dillon, Vincent Pastore, Johnny Knoxville, Deborah Harry, Max Perlich, Josh Leonard, Balthazar Getty, Norman Reedus, Fairuza Balk, Brad Renfro and Stephen Dorff. Drea de Matteo was featured as Hugh Jackman's alcoholic ex-wife in Warner Brothers' "Swordfish" and as Jenny McCarthy's nutty neighbor in the indie film "The Perfect You." At the 2001 Cannes Film Festival, Drea de Matteo received phenomenal reviews for her portrayal as a Puerto Rican/American drug lord in Abel Ferrara's film "R'Xmas." In addition, Drea de Matteo co-owns the ultra hip East Village boutique Filth Mart with her long time boyfriend. They also have their own denim line. During her downtime Drea de Matteo always goes back to HB Studios, where her mother has taught playwriting for over 25 years. Drea de Matteo and her mother, Donna de Matteo, are constantly developing and looking out for new writers and projects, as well as working on their own material for the stage of the HB Playwrights Foundation-Drea's "home base." Drea de Matteo has a BFA from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts in film production.
