Ed Gamble stars in "Almost Royal" on BBC America as Georgie Carlton, who is the most affable man one could meet. Georgie is using the trip around America as a way to become more "manly" in order to take on the responsibilities of Caunty Manor and live up to his father's legacy.

Chortle Award winning Ed Gamble is an actor and stand-up comedian who began his career writing, performing and co-directing for the Durham Revue in 2004. In 2007 made the finals of the Chortle/Revels Student Comedy Awards at Edinburgh. He was also a finalist in The Laughing Horse Big, Big, Big New Act Competition in 2007. In 2009, he appeared as part of The Comedy Zone showcase at the Edinburgh Fringe. He also performed at Frank Skinner's Credit Crunch Cabaret.

Gamble has provided national tour support for Greg Davies' shows "Firing Cheeseballs at a Dog" and "The Back of My Mum's Head," as well as for Russell Kane and Chris Addison. Gamble has appeared on Russell Howard's "Good News," performing as both a solo stand up and as part of Peacock and Gamble on series five. Ed Gamble and Ray Peacock are the only acts to make a return appearance on "Good News." Gamble has also performed on "Dave's One Night Stand" and has written for "Never Mind the Buzzcocks," "Mock the Week" and "Ask Rhod Gilbert."

For four years, Gamble was co-writer and host of the "Peacock and Gamble Podcast." Several series of this cult podcast have culminated with special, series finale live audience recordings. The duo also received a Chortle Award Nomination for the "Peacock and Gamble Podcast."

With Peacock & Gamble, Ed has presented shows for BBC Radio 4 Extra's "The Comedy Club" and has appeared as a regular host, alongside Ray Peacock on the show. The duo also starred in "Warm Up" for BBC Comedy Online. They recently toured with their 2013 Edinburgh show "Peacock and Gamble Heart-Throbs," before Gamble went on to do his 2014 solo Edinburgh show.
