Elin Nordegren is the wife of professional golfer Tiger Woods. She is a former Swedish model who was born in Stockholm, Sweden. She and her twin sister Josefin Nordegren were working as au pairs for Swedish golfer Jesper Parnevik when he introduced to her to Tiger Woods during the 2001 British Open. Woods proposed to her at the luxury Shamwari Game Reserve in South Africa during the Presidents Cup tournament in November, 2003. They were married on October 5, 2004 by the 19th hole at the exclusive Sandy Lane resort in Barbados. Their first daughter, Sam Alexis Woods, was born on June 18, 2007, and their second child, Charlie Axel Woods, was born on February 8, 2009.
