Elisabeth Röhm is perhaps best known for playing the brilliant and aggressively ambitious Assistant District Attorney Serena Southerlyn on NBC's "Law & Order" from 2001–2005.
While studying writing and European history at Sarah Lawrence College, Röhm quite accidentally discovered acting when she landed a role in the drama department's production of David Henry Hwang's Bondage (as Madame Butterfly).
Röhm's first professional break
Rohm then pulled double duty as she concurrently starred in the cable drama series "Bull," alongside Stanley Tucci, and played the recurring role of the young and beautiful detective Kate Lockley on "Angel." She more recently recurred as Lauren Gilmore in NBC's "Heroes." Recent guest appearances include "90210," "The Whole Truth" and "The Mentalist."
She was also seen in the movie "Miss Congeniality 2: Armed and Fabulous," starring Sandra Bullock.
Röhm retains dual citizenship in the United States and in Germany.
