Elise Gatien stars in "Tower Prep" on Cartoon Network as CJ Ward. To most of the students and faculty at Tower Prep, CJ Ward is the textbook example of someone who follows "The Program." She's the perfect student, the most popular girl in school and well liked by everyone. And that's exactly what she wants everyone to think as she secretly plots an escape from Tower Prep. CJ is a master at playing both sides and hiding her true intentions.
Elise Gatien was born in Kamloops, British Columbia, and began her performing career at the age of four. After years of training in dance and musical theatre, she was discovered at a model/talent convention and quickly booked commercials and a modeling contract in Asia.
Gatien can be seen on "Smallville" playing Mia Dearden, who is based on the comic character Speedy. She plays a troubled teen runaway taken under the wing of Oliver Queen/Green Arrow who is impressed with her fighting abilities. Her other credits include roles on "Eureka," "The Guard," "Bionic Woman," Lifetime's TV movie "The Obsession," opposite Daphne Zuniga, the direct-to-video "Dr. Doolittle: Tail to the Chief" and the indie film "In the Land of Women," opposite Meg Ryan,Olympia Dukakis, Kristen Stewart and Adam Brody.
Outside of acting, Elise also enjoys boating, snowboarding, and traveling (most recently to Thailand, Bali, and Australia). She currently resides in Vancouver, British Columbia.
