An award-winning producer, Ellen Rakieten is currently President and Executive Producer of Ellen Rakieten Entertainment. For the past 23 years, she was a key force in creating and producing "The Oprah Winfrey Show," helping to make it one of the most successful television shows in history. Throughout her tenure at "Oprah," Ellen served in positions with increasing levels of responsibility. Named Executive Producer in 2003, Ellen held the position until 2006, when she was appointed Executive Vice President, Creative Development for Harpo Productions, the company's first development division. Under Ellen's leadership the show garnered unprecedented ratings increases, and with star-studded guest lineups and can't-miss pop culture moments, "The Oprah Winfrey Show" produced its three highest-rated seasons in the last decade.

Ellen is producing the new NBC series with "Biggest Loser" trainer Jillian Michaels, "Losing it with Jillian." She was inspired to collect these stories as examples so men could understand what they needed to do to get a second date! Ellen is happily married to the very dateable Peter Kupferberg.
