Ellery Hollingsworth is a snowboarding athlete competing at the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics.

Stratton Mountain School (SMS) student Ellery Hollingsworth is already making the industry take notice as she rips through the ranks of snowboarding's elite. At her first Junior World Championships, she barely missed the podium, then stormed back a year later to take second
and claim her spot on U.S. Snowboarding's Project Gold program launching her into a spot with U.S. Snowboarding and she's been moving up the ranks ever since.
Hollingsworth took the momentum she had built up over the years and carried it into the 2009 season. The young ripper established herself as one of the best female riders on the scene as she was one of six to make women's halfpipe finals at the X Games, and then went on to
finish third at the Burton U.S. Open. She wrapped up a successful season with an important life milestone as she graduated from the Stratton Mountian School.
She started snowboarding when she was 6 years old at Vermont's Bromley Mountain. "My brothers had been snowboarding for a few years, and looking up to them, I always wanted to do what they were doing. Jeb convinced my mom to let me snowboard." Her first board was a red and orange K2 90.
She is always eating at Java Baba's, where she says she likes the Turkey Town. She is currently reading "A Long Way Gone."
She says, "I would like to graduate from college, and do something to help people. Everyone should. That's what makes the world work: kindness."
