Ellie Kendrick stars in "Game of Thrones" in the recurring role of Howland Reed's eldest daughter, Meera Reed. A staunch Stark loyalist, Meera and her younger brother, Jojen, seek out Bran Stark to protect him on his hard journey north.

British actress Ellie Kendrick is best known for playing the title role in the five-part miniseries, "The Diary of Anne Frank," which was first screened on BBC1 in January 2009. She is also known for her role as Ivy Morris in the first series of the revived "Upstairs Downstairs" in 2010. Other UK television credits include "Being Human," "Inspector Lewis," "Prime Suspect 7: The Final Act," "Doctors" and "Waking the Dead."

On the big screen, Kendrick has been seen in the Academy Award-nominated film "An Education," starring Carey Mulligan, Peter Sarsgaard and Alfred Molina, and "Cheerful Weather for the Wedding," alongside Felicity Jones, Elizabeth McGovern and Mackenzie Crook.

Kendrick has studied at the University of Cambridge and is a former member of the National Youth Theatre.
