Scanlan was particularly fond of "Nightmare on Elm Street," "Dawn of the Dead," and "Jaws."
"Rocky" was genuinely his inspiration; Sylvester Stallone was his hero.
Emmett J. Scanlan went into acting full time after his daughter Kayla was born in 2002. Seeing as how he had more responsibity, Emmett J. Scanlan thought it only right to take up acting.
