Eric Christian Olsen stars in "NCIS: Los Angeles" on CBS as Marty Deeks, a seasoned LAPD undercover detective, who was recruited to the NCIS team by Operations Manager Hetty Lange (Linda Hunt).

On the big screen, Eric Christian Olsen stars in "The Thing" (2011), opposite Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Joel Edgarton, as Adam Goodman. Olsen can next be seen in "Celeste and Jesse Forever," alongside Rashida Jones and Andy Samberg.

When Eric Christian Olsen moved to Los Angeles from the Midwest to pursue an acting career, he beat the odds and quickly landed a recurring role in "Get Real," opposite Anne Hathaway. Once he was cast in Jerry Bruckheimer's "Pearl Harbor," he cemented his spot with casting agents, appearing in such comedies as "Not Another Teen Movie," "Local Boys," "The Hot Chick" and "Dumb and Dumberer: When Harry Met Lloyd," to name a few.

Other feature film credits for the talented actor include "Cellular," "Beerfest," "The Last Kiss," "License to Wed," "The Comebacks," "Sunshine Cleaning," "Eagle Eye," "Fired Up!," "Death Valley," "The Six Wives of Henry Lefay," opposite Tim Allen, and "The Back-Up Plan" with Jennifer Lopez.

Olsen's television work is extensive, including recurring roles in NBC's comedy "Community" and the hit ABC series, "Brothers and Sisters." He also starred in the series "Tru Calling" and "The Loop." In addition, he has guest-starred in such shows as "ER" and "24."

Olsen can also be seen in "Perry Hilton," a parody spoofing Paris Hilton's infamous sex tape on Will Ferrell's web site, and on the animated hit "Kick Buttowski: Suburban Daredevil," for the Disney Channel.

Olsen was born in Eugene, Oregon, and raised in Iowa. He graduated from Pepperdine University in 2007.

He currently lives in Los Angeles, California.
