Eric Stoltz stars as Daniel Graystone on Syfy's "Caprica."

As an actor, producer, and most recently director, Eric Stoltz continues to add to his reputation with an eclectic group of projects in film, television, and theatre.

A theatre trained actor, Eric Stoltz starred in the Broadway productions of Larry Gelbart's "Sly Fox" with Richard Dreyfus, Checkov's "Three Sisters" with Paul Giamatti and Lili Taylor, and "Two Shakespearean Actors" with Victor Garber. Eric Stoltz was honored with a Tony Award nomination for his work in the Broadway revival of Thornton Wilder's "Our Town" with Spalding Gray. Off-Broadway he has starred in "The Glass Menagerie," "The Importance of Being Ernest," "Arms and The Man," and "Light Up the Sky."

It was his startling portrayal of Rocky Dennis in Peter Bogdanovich's "Mask" that first gained Eric Stoltz nationwide attention. Starring opposite Cher, Eric Stoltz's work earned him a Golden Globe nomination. Additional film credits for Eric Stoltz include "Pulp Fiction," "Little Women," "Rob Roy," "Memphis Belle," "Some Kind of Wonderful," "Fast Times at Ridgemont High," "The Butterfly Effect," "Anaconda," "Two Days in the Valley" and "The House of Mirth." Eric Stoltz has performed cameos in the Cameron Crowe films "Jerry Maguire," "Singles," and "Say Anything." Eric Stoltz has starred in a number of successful independent films including Noah Baumbach's "Kicking and Screaming," "Killing Zoë," and the 1992 Sundance Film Festival winner "The Waterdance" with Helen Hunt. Eric Stoltz also produced and starred in the films "Mr. Jealousy," "Bodies Rest & Motion," "Sleep With Me," and most recently "The Lather Effect."

Eric Stoltz's television work includes "The Triangle" with Sam Neill, "The Passion of Ayn Rand" with Helen Mirren, the mini-series "Out of Order" with Felicity Huffman and William H. Macy, a season on the critically acclaimed drama "Chicago Hope," a recurring role in "Once and Again" (an episode of which he also directed), and a recurring role as Helen Hunt's former boyfriend on the NBC sitcom "Mad About You."

Eric Stoltz made his directorial debut with "My Horrible Year!" for Paramount Classics. The film stars Karen Allen and Mimi Rogers, and earned Eric Stoltz a Daytime Emmy nomination for his work. Eric Stoltz has also directed the short film "The Grand Design" starring Frances Conroy, as well as episodes of "Law and Order," "Boston Legal," and "Quarterlife."

Eric Stoltz is a contributor to the book "New York City Secrets" by Robert Kahn, as well as the children's sing along CD "Philadelphia Chickens" by Sandra Boynton and featuring Meryl Streep, Kevin Kline, and Patti LuPone.
