Eric Winter stars as Carlyle on CBS's "Viva Laughlin."

After becoming one of daytime's biggest stars while playing Rex Brady on NBC's "Days of Our Lives" from 2002 to 2005, Eric Winter has made the transition to primetime and feature films.  Since retiring his role on the soap opera over two years ago, Eric Winter guest-starred as Rob Lowe's younger brother in a multi-episode arc in the series "Brothers & Sisters."

Eric Winter's other guest starring roles include "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation," on CBS, "Charmed," "Smallville," "Pepper Dennis," "South Beach" and "Just Legal." Most recently, Eric Winter starred in the feature film "Harold & Kumar 2." In addition to his television work, Eric Winter has also been featured in a number of national commercials, including commercials for 7-Up and Mitsubishi.

Prior to acting, Eric Winter enjoyed a modeling career he began while he was a student at UCLA. During his time in college, Eric Winter shed thirty pounds of extra football weight and, after a girlfriend suggested it as a way to pay the bills, found himself an agent, and was soon juggling classes with acting workshops and modeling shoots, which often took him all over the world. Eric Winter's most prestigious modeling job to date was was a high-profile print campaign for Tommy Hilfiger with Rebecca Romijn. Eric Winter took time off from college to do print ads for Iceberg, Skyy Vodka, Men's Italian Vogue and Diesel Clothing.   Eric Winter eventually returned to school and received a degree in psychology.

Born in La Mirada, California, Eric Winter didn't always want to be an actor. Eric Winter is an only child; his father, Wayne, runs an investigative business, and his mother, Gwen, runs a theatrical fabric business. Eric Winter graduated from Los Altos High School, where he played both football and volleyball.

Eric Winter is from La Puente, California.  Eric Winter's girlfriend is Roselyn Sanchez from "Without a Trace." Eric Winter was previously married to model/actress Allison Ford. Eric Winter's birth date is July 17.
