Evan McKeel from "The Voice" is one of top 48 artists in Season 9 of the NBC reality singing competition series. From Richmond, Virginia, he is on Pharrell Williams' team.

Evan McKeel sang "Typical" by rock group Mutemath for his blind audition. After all four judges turned their chairs around, Evan chose Williams to be his coach.

Evan began to sing when he was five in the church choir, and learned to play guitar from his dad. By age twelve, Evan was leading worship at church, and eventually, he branched out and began performing at bars and farmer's markets. Evan put ministry college on hold to focus on his music career. Now at a crossroads between music and ministry, being on "The Voice" will reassure him that putting college on hold was the right decision.
