Freddy Dodge from "Gold Rush: Alaska" stars in the Discovery Channel reality docu-series.

Freddy Dodge's renowned expertise in gold mining was first showcased on our screens in Season 1, when Todd Hoffman sought Freddy's help to refine his gold-catching equipment. Freddy's knowledge and experience proved invaluable and he became a cornerstone of the Hoffman crew.

Freddy grew up on his grandparents' cattle ranch in Walden, Colorado. His first experience of gold mining was panning in a creek when he was just eight years old. Freddy has since earned a reputation as one of one of the most experienced fine gold recovery experts and gold-table builders in the business.

Freddy co-designed the Hoffmans' Season 3 wash plant, Big Red (later sold to Parker Schnabel) and in Season 4, Freddy joined Todd's ill-fated mission to Guyana.

Last year Freddy went all in with his brother Derek to mine their Carmacks claim. After success in Carmacks last season Freddy is back with the Hoffman crew as their invaluable wash plant expert.

Freddy used to shoot shotguns competitively and now coaches their safe use. In his spare time, he likes to hunt. Freddy has been married to Lisa Dodge for 28 years, and they have two daughters, Sammi and Nikki, who all enjoy the great outdoors.
