Gemma Arterton stars in "Clash of the Titans" (2010) as Lo.

Gemma Arterton graduated from The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in the summer of 2007 and has fast become one of Hollywood's most promising stars. She can be seen this summer in the lead female role of Princess Tamina in "Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time." Directed by Mike Newell, Arterton stars opposite Jake Gyllenhaal, Alfred Molina and Ben Kingsley. Her upcoming films include Stephen Frears' "Tamara Drewe," in which she will play the title character, and J Blakeson's "The Disappearance of Alice Creed," a thrilling tale of kidnapping and intrigue in which she played the title role alongside Martin Compston and Eddie Marsan.

Arterton was recently seen in Richard Curtis' recent "Pirate Radio," co-starring with a host of greats such as Philip Seymour Hoffman, Kenneth Branagh, Bill Nighy and Emma Thompson, and played a Bond Girl in "Quantum of Solace," a blockbuster directed by Marc Forster and starring Daniel Craig and Dame Judi Dench. Her other film credits include Guy Ritchie's gangster film "RocknRolla," "A Deal Is a Deal," directed by Jonathan Gershfield, and "St. Trinian's 2: The Legend of Fritton's Gold," directed by Oliver Parker and Barnaby Thompson, in which she reprised her role from the earlier film, "St. Trinian's."

Arterton has also starred in some of television's best dramas. Her heartrending portrayal of the heroic Tess in the BBC adaptation of Thomas Hardy's novel "Tess of the D'Urbervilles," co-starring Eddie Redmayne, Ruth Jones and Hans Matheson, earned her rave reviews. She also played the role of Elizabeth Bennet in ITV's costume drama "Lost in Austen," and starred in BBC's "Capturing Mary," directed by Stephen Poliakoff, with Maggie Smith, David Walliams and Ruth Wilson.

Arterton made her stage debut in the role of Rosaline at Shakespeare's Globe Theatre in "Love's Labour's Lost," directed by Dominic Dromgoole. She gained a full scholarship to the RADA, where she took lead roles in productions such as "An Ideal Husband," "Titus Andronicus" and "The Beggar's Opera." She is currently making her West End stage debut at the Garrick Theatre in London in Douglas Carter Beane's "The Little Dog Laughed."
