Segal then started starring in films that had little going for them except for him and as a result his career took a beating. Segal went unnoticed through out the 80s. He then divorced his wife in 1981. However he remarried in 1982 to Linda Rogoff.
He made his comeback in 1991's "For The Boys." His wife passed away in 1996 and Segal soon married Sonia Schultz Greenbaum. He then landed the role of Jack Gallo in the hit sitcom "Just Shoot Me."
