Gerard McSorley stars as Robert Aske on Showtime's "The Tudors."

County Tyrone-born Gerard McSorley, is one of Ireland's finest actors and has starred in every major Irish film of the last 18 years including: "Michael Collins," "In The Name of the Father," "The Boxer," "Veronica Guerin," "Bloody Sunday" and "Omagh." McSorley took Best Actor honors at the 2004 Irish Film and Television Awards and the Royal Television Society Best Actor Award for his role in "Omagh," the powerful story of the 1998
Omagh Bombing. His most recent work includes "The Constant Gardener" and Joel Schumacher's "Creek."
