Gil Bellows stars as Frank Tramell on FOX's "24."

Gil Bellows translates his acting talents to all arenas of performance, including the stage, big screen and television. Born in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, Bellows developed an interest in acting at 18 when he was accepted into the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Los Angeles.

After graduating, Bellows appeared in the National Film Board of Canada production of "The First Season." Since then his theater credits have grown to include "A Snake in the Vein" and "Flaubert's Latest and Best of Schools" to name a few. Additionally, Bellows is a founding member of the Seraphim Theater Company in New York and a member of the Act One Repertory Company of the prestigious Williamstown Theater Festival in Massachusetts.

Bellows most recently starred in "bgFATLdy" and "The Promotion," opposite Seann William Scott and John C. Reilly. Additional film credits for Bellows include "The Weatherman" opposite Nicolas Cage, "Love and a .45," "Dinner at Fred's," and "The Shawshank Redemption," opposite Tim Robbins and Morgan Freeman for which he gained critical acclaim.

On the small screen, Bellows starred in the Emmy-and Golden Globe Award-winning series "Ally McBeal." Additional television credits for Bellows include the miniseries "Terminal City," "The Cleaner," "Final Days of Planet Earth" and "Twilight Zone."

Bellows currently lives in Los Angeles.
