Gillian Ferrier stars in "Call Me Fitz" on DirecTV's The 101 Network as Kara, one of a pack of Junior Survivalists that chances upon Richard's MG accident with Babs. Unfortunately for Richard, the camera-wielding Junior Survivalists snap one too many photos. Kara has one goal: to bring Richard down.
Gillian Ferrier started acting at a very young age. With childhood roles that included Princess Ying Yaolack in "The King and I" and Little Cosette in Neptune Theatre's production of "Les Miserables," Ferrier went on to study acting at Concordia University in Montreal and the Circle in the Square Theatre School in New York City.
While at Concordia, Ferrier co-created "Waking the Girl Productions," an all female company dedicated to producing works written by Canadian women. Gillian co-produced and starred in three successful plays, helping the young company make their indie mark in Montreal. The controversial "The Fairies Are Thirsty," by Denise Boucher, made Centaur Theatre's "Top 10" list at the Montreal Fringe Festival. "Misery Loves Company," written by Gillian, was produced by Centaur Theatre's Wildside Festival. Upon returning to Nova Scotia, she starred in a number of indie productions, including "Closer" and "The Balcony," and toured for two seasons with Neptune Theatre's Young Company, performing for thousands of children across the Maritimes.
In film and television, Ferrier starred in the short film "Later that Stevening" alongside "Trailer Park Boys'" Cory Bowles. She has also worked with Hilary Swank in "Amelia" and has gained roles in the films "Ice Castles" and "Second Honeymoon." Additionally Ferrier served as an actor for the prestigious Women in the Director's Chair program.
