Reuben spends a great deal of time working on behalf of the causes she feels the most compelled to support. In August 2008 she traveled to South Africa to launch Kerry Kennedy's human rights program Speak Truth To Power, and to accompany the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation to tour key sites operated by the group. She has recently become the spokesperson for the Foundation. Reuben is a keynote speaker who travels across the U.S., bringing awareness of HIV/AIDS issues to communities. She also actively participates in the environmental campaigns created by Waterkeeper Alliance, of which she serves on the Board.
