Grace Gealey stars in "Empire" on FOX as Anika Gibbons, the head of A&R for Empire and Lucious' girlfriend. The role marks her television debut.

Up-and-coming actress Grace Gealey is a Hollywood newcomer who earned her BA in Theatre Arts from the University of Florida and her MFA in Acting from the University of California Irvine, where she performed on stage in "West Side Story," "The Three Penny Opera," "Twelfth Night," "Measure for Measure," "The Wiz" and "Hamlet."

Other theatrical credits include "Tartuffe" and "The Misanthrope" at Court Theatre in Chicago; "Elemeno Pea" at Mixed Blood Theatre in Minneapolis; "Rent" with the American Theater Company in Chicago; the world premiere of "Venus Flytrap" at The Active Theater in New York; and "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof," "Mame" and "The Wedding Singer" at Santa Rosa Repertory Theatre.

Gealey has also been featured in commercials for Rally's and MediaCom.

Gealey is fluent in American Sign Language.
