Gregory Helms, aka Shane Helms, is a professional wrester and one of the WWE Superstars on SCI FI Channel's "ECW."

Former Cruiserweight Champion Gregory Helms was one of the longest-reigning Champions in WWE history. The veteran captured the title at the 2006 edition of the Royal Rumble, putting an exclamation point on his transition from Raw to SmackDown.

Helms was once a mild-mannered reporter who doubled as a WWE superhero. He devoted several years to fighting for justice on Raw every Monday
night. After that, Helms focused on making his name known on SmackDown. Now's he's a member of the ECW Roster, thanks to the 2009 WWE Supplemental Draft.

Prior to entering WWE, Helms was a star in WCW, where he held the Cruiserweight and Hardcore Championships. As The Hurricane in WWE, he once again held the Cruiserweight Championship, and also teamed with Kane to win the World Tag Team Championship. For a brief time during WrestleMania X8, he also held the WWE Hardcore Championship.

In 2007, Helms was injured when he broke his neck, and spent all of 2007 and most of 2008 recovering from the surgery. But now, Helms is ready to return to action, and he hopes to pick up right where he left off.
