Jennifer Stone in "Harriet the Spy: Blog Wars"
Jennifer Stone Harriet the Spy: Blog Wars
"Harriet the Spy: Blog Wars" is a Disney Channel Original Movie starring Jennifer Stone ("Wizards of Waverly Place"). Based on the popular books by Louise Fitzhugh, the movie is a contemporary twist on the iconic character, as Harriet "The Spy" Welsch (played by Stone) vies to become the official blogger of her high school class.

Willing to do whatever it takes to earn the coveted position, Harriet competes against her arch nemesis, popular student Marion Hawthorne, in a month-long blog war to win her classmates support. When Harriet's father, movie producer Roger Welsch, signs on to produce the sequel to the hottest teen-musical, "Spy High," she knows her inside scoop will be a perfect opportunity to win over her classmates.

Despite Harriet's disdain for the movie and its star popular teen heartthrob, Skander Hill, she embarks on a mission to spy on him and expose his true colors. Harriet, with the help of best friends Sport and Janie, manages to turn Skander's every misstep into fodder for her postings. But when her blog entries begin to take on a life of their own, it's up to Harriet to set the record straight before she unwittingly brings down her father's film and Skander's career.

Starring are Jennifer Stone ("Wizards of Waverly Place") as Harriet "The Spy" Welsch; Kristin Booth ("This Beautiful City") as Golly; Wesley Morgan ("Degrassi: The Next Generation") as Skander Hill; Doug Murray ("Man of the Year," "Aaron Stone") as Roger Welsch; Shauna MacDonald ("Aaron Stone") as Violetta Welsch; Melinda Shankar ("Degrassi: The Next Generation") as Janie; Alexander Conti ("Cheaper By the Dozen 2") as Sport; Vanessa Morgan ("The Latest Buzz") as Marion Hawthorne; Kiana Madeira (CBC's "Little Mosque on the Prairie") as Rachel; and Aislinn Paul ("Degrassi: The Next Generation") as Beth Ellen.

Produced by 9 Story Entertainment, the movie was written by Heather Conkie (CBC's "Heartland") and Alexandra Clarke ("The Changeling"). It was directed by Emmy Award-nominated Ron Oliver ("Goosebumps," "Kiss Me Deadly") with Jonathan Hackett ("Aaron Stone") as producer.
