"Harry's Law" Season 2 will return on NBC for the 2011-2012 season.

"Harry's Law" (NBC TV show), starring Academy Award winner Kathy Bates ("Misery," "About Schmidt"), is a a series about fate and the people it brings together. The series features the unique storytelling of its Emmy Award-winning creator David E. Kelley ("The Practice," "Boston Legal").

Harriet (Bates), Matthew (Ben Chaplin, "Me and Orson Welles") and Malcolm (Aml Ameen, "Kidulthood") couldn't be any more different. Harriet is a curmudgeonly ex-patent lawyer who, having just been fired from her cushy job, is completely disillusioned with her success and looking for a fresh start. Her world unexpectedly collides with Malcolm's—a young man trying to figure out life. When he finds out Harriet is a lawyer, he begs her to represent him in an upcoming criminal case. Matthew, a dreamer at heart and also recently fired from his job as a high school teacher, is introduced to Harriet through Malcolm, a previous student of his. When these three cross paths, they realize they're all looking for a fresh start. Now, the most unlikely of people are starting a law practice in the most unlikely of places—a rundown shoe store.

The "Harry's Law" cast also includes Brittany Snow ("Hairspray") as Harriet's assistant, Jenna Backstrom, and Beatrice Rosen ("Dark Knight") as Eve, a high school French teacher.

"Harry's Law" Season 2 is produced by Bonanza Productions Inc. in association with David E. Kelley Productions and Warner Bros. Television. David E. Kelley ("Boston Legal," "The Practice") and Bill D'Elia ("Boston Legal," "The Practice") serve as executive producers. D'Elia also serves as director.

I am so excited to see that Kathy Bates will be on a series and cannot wait until it starts. I have loved her in anything she has been and was so upset after reading the Client thought she would be the only one to play the lawyer for the boy in the movie. I think she is a wonderful actress! I am a 69 year old Grandmother and have never written about any one before this but want her to know I will be watching every episode.

I love the show; especially, because it focuses on the plight of the poor. Kathy Bates is class act! A little trivia: I think Britney Snow played Daisey on Guiding Light about 12 yrs. ago?
