"House of Lies" on Showtime is a dark comedy series that stars Academy Award-nominated actor Don Cheadle ("Iron Man 2"). The series is created and written by Matthew Carnahan ("Dirt") from the hit tell-all book "House of Lies: How Management Consultants Steal Your Watch and Tell You the Time" by Martin Kihn. The series is a timely comedy that dives head-first into the shark tank known as corporate America.

"House of Lies" is a subversive, scathing look at a self-loathing management consultant from a top-tier firm. Cheadle stars as Marty Kaan, a highly successful, cutthroat consultant who is never above using any means (or anyone) necessary to get his clients the information they want. He is the big-money earner at Galweather Stearn, who commands a hot, young team known as The Pod: Jeannie Van Der Hooven, a razor-sharp, Ivy-League graduate (Kristen Bell); Clyde (Ben Schwartz, "Undercovers"); and Doug (Josh Lawson, "Romantically Challenged"). Marty and The Pod's work life revolves around first-class travel, top-shelf liquor and anything they can charge the client on a black Am Ex. Marty is the ultimate power player and under his direction, this ruthless, pull-no-punches team is here to beat the corporate suckers at their own game — and they're loving every minute of it.

Season 2

In Season 2, The Pod — especially Marty and Jeannie — must deal with the fall-out from the big merger showdown. Meanwhile, Marty is thrown by the arrival of a new "frenemy" at work and by Roscoe (Donis Leonard Jr., "The Fresh Beat Band"), who decides to move in with his lunatic mother, Monica (Dawn Olivieri, "Heroes").

Season 3

Marty starts season 3 as the wreckage from his decision to launch his own firm has spilled onto the Pod — the almighty quartet is disbanded. But while Marty is preoccupied with hustling up new clients, his former mentee Jeannie is channeling her inner Kaan and making big moves in his absence. Guest stars this season include Eliza Coupe ("Happy Endings"), Mekhi Phifer ("Lie to Me") and T.I. ("Boss").

Season 4

We last left a despondent Marty alone in the desert after a cataclysmic double-cross by Jeannie and a visit by the Feds. This season, Marty's brief stint in white collar prison left Jeannie to pick up the pieces of the now tainted Kaan & Associates with Clyde and Doug. Client flight decimated the bottom line, but Marty is a singular focus: winning, at any and all cost. Larenz Tate returns as Marty's brother Malcolm along with new guest stars Demetri Martin ("The Daily Show with John Stewart") and Valorie Curry ("The Following").

In its fourth season, Marty's brief stint in white collar prison left the firm in shambles and a pregnant Jeannie in charge of Clyde, Doug, and a tainted Kaan & Associates. Client flight decimated the bottom line, but Marty returned on the scene with a singular focus: winning, at any and all cost. His fellow cellmate, billionaire Ellis Hightower (guest star Demetri Martin), became his first big post-incarceration client, and a tough investor (guest star Mary McCormack) swooped in to the rescue. But the white knights came armed with strings and major complications. Meanwhile, Clyde and Doug fell uncomfortably in bed — literally and figuratively — with app producer Kelsey (guest star Valorie Curry). On the home front, Marty's social activist-talk show host brother Malcolm (guest star Larenz Tate) was back home stirring the pot while Jeremiah kept the Kaan family in line. But no amount of sage advice from dad could help Marty balance a struggling company, demanding clients, and a most unexpected pregnancy that threw a grenade in his already convoluted life. The season wrapped up answering some burning questions, as Marty fought to save Kaan & Associates from the brink and from Denna Altshuler's death grip while Jeannie was giving birth to their baby. Meanwhile, Clyde and Doug's billionaire venture going bust had an unexpected upside, while Marty's son Roscoe atoned for his illegal side business.

The cast also includes the legendary Glynn Turman ("In Treatment") as Marty's psychoanalyst father.

Season 5

This season, Marty is a man with a singular focus — ascending from millionaire mogul to global dominator. No longer content with fleecing big-money clients, he's upping the stakes in a highly calculated winner-take-all power play that will land him and the Pod — Jeannie (Kristen Bell), Clyde (Ben Schwartz) and Doug (Josh Lawson) — in Cuba. To the victor go all the spoils.

Guest stars for the fifth season will include Emmy winner Wanda Sykes ("Alpha House") as a love interest for Jeremiah ("Glynn Turman"); Emmy nominee Keegan-Michael Key ("Key & Peele") as the CEO of a hair care line; and Emmy nominee Ken Marino ("Children's Hospital") as a love interest for Jeannie. Emmy nominee Malcolm-Jamal Warner ("Major Crimes"), John Cho ("Star Trek"), Donald Faison ("Scrubs"), and Nicky Whelan ("Matador," "Franklin & Bash") will also guest star.

Produced by Showtime, "House of Lies" is created and executive produced by Matthew Carnahan. Jessika Borsiczky ("Flash Forward"), Stephen Hopkins ("Californication," "24") and Don Cheadle also serve as executive producers.
