"How I Met Your Mother" Season 6 has been ordered to return for 2010-2011.

CBS's "How I Met Your Mother" (HIMYM), currently in Season 5, is a comedy about Ted (Josh Radnor) and how he fell in love. It all started when Ted's best friend on "How I Met Your Mother," Marshall (Jason Segel), dropped the bombshell that he was going to propose to his long-time girlfriend, Lily (Alyson Hannigan), a kindergarten teacher. At that moment, Ted realized that he had better get a move on if he also hopes to find true love. Helping him in his quest on "How I Met Your Mother" is Barney (Neil Patrick Harris), a friend with endless, sometimes outrageous opinions, a penchant for suits and foolproof ways to pick up women. When Ted meets Robin  (Cobie Smulders) on "How I Met Your Mother," he is sure it is love at first sight, but destiny may have something else in store. "How I Met Your Mother" is narrated through flashbacks from the future.

Carter Bays and Craig Thomas co-created "How I Met Your Mother" and also serve as writers and producers on the show. "How I Met Your Mother" comes from Twentieth Century Fox Television.
