Ian Matthews is a versatile actor who has appeared in over forty films and television series, moving comfortably between comedic and dramatic roles. His major film credits include David Cronenberg's critically acclaimed "A History of Violence," Palme d'Or winning director Laurent Cantet's "Foxfire," and the Atom Agoyan thriller, "The Captive," starring Ryan Reynolds. Matthews also appeared prominently at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2014 with roles in two highly acclaimed feature film debuts: Jeffery St. Jules' "Bang Bang Baby," which won the Best First Feature Award, and Pat Mills' "Guidance."
