Iliza Shlesinger is the host of VH1's dating reality series "Excused." The show allows Shlesinger to make real observations about people and say some honest things people only wish they could say in real life. She says it best, "Honesty is funny."

Growing up, making others laugh came naturally to Shlesinger, much to the chagrin of her strict Texan teachers. She joined her Dallas high school improve troupe — the only girl on the team — and was voted class clown. "I've done my best to live up to that superlative award," Shlesinger adds.
At Emerson College, where she earned a degree in Film, Iliza dropped improv for sketch and quickly fell in love with the format. "I could have majored in sketch video and live sketches, because it's what I worked the most on while I was there," Shlesinger said. After graduating in 2005, she moved to Los Angeles.
Shlesinger can regularly be seen practicing her craft at Los Angeles-area clubs, as well headlining at a variety of colleges and clubs across the country. She has performed at the coveted Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal, as well as for American servicemen across the globe.
