Illusion/Confusion from "The X Factor" is one of top 32 acts in the FOX reality singing competition series. The group is comprised of three men from Florida: Richard Mason from Hialeah, Ahmed "AJ" Jaime from Miami, and Lazaro "Laz" Chavez from Hialeah. They are all 26 years old and auditioned together in Miami, Florida.

The judges voted to put them through to boot camp, where they performed in a larger group that included Rachel Crowe and 4Shore and sang "I Have Nothing" by Whitney Houston. Illusion / Confusion survived the week and are competing in the groups category under the mentorship of judge Paula Abdul.
