Ingrid Bolsø Berdal stars in the feature film "Chernobyl Diaries" as Zoe.

Ingrid Bolsø Berdal is one of Norway's most acclaimed young actresses who has won awards for both her stage and screen work. She started studying music and singing in high school and, after graduating, she continued her music education at the University of Trondheim (NTNU), studying jazz singing and improvisation for two years. She moved to Oslo and was accepted at Oslo National Academy of Dramatic Arts (KHiO), where she studied acting for three years.

In her second year of Drama School Ingrid played Sofia in Chekhov's "Platonov" and the title role in Sophocles' "Antigone." In her final year she played "The Girl" in Jon Fosse's "The Name" and the title role in Henrik Ibsen's "Hedda Gabler."

Since graduating, Berdal has been employed at The Norwegian Theatre in Oslo. After her first year at the theater, she was awarded the Hedda Award (The Norwegian Theatre Award) for Best Debut of the Year. During her years at the theater she has played both classical and contemporary plays, such as Sasha in Checkhov's "Ivanov," Shura in Sigarev's "Black Milk" and the title role in Gombrowicz's "Yvonne, Princess of Burgundy." In January 2011 she co-produced and performed the physical theater monologue "Fräulein Else" at the theaterr, receiving great reviews.

In between her stage work Berdal has also been working with radio plays, television and film. She has won the Amanda Award (The Norwegian Film Award) for Best Actress for her role as Jannicke in the feature film "Fritt Vilt" ("Cold Prey"). She was also nominated Best Actress two years later for her performance in the "Cold Prey" sequel.
