"Intervention" (A&E TV show) is back for Season 12 with stories that include: a beautiful young mother whose meth addiction has caused her to hear voices; a spirited young woman whose drinking was so extreme her boyfriend locked her up in their mansion for three days to detox her from alcohol; a talented rapper on the verge of fame and wealth who descends into a PCP spiral; and a young actor and model whose addiction to a powerful new drug known as, "bath salts," has him fighting his delusions and hallucinations on the roof of his home with handmade weapons.

"Intervention" Season 11 featured gripping stories such as a young female artist living on the streets of NYC, forced to panhandle to support her heroin habit; a tough street kid who shares a dangerous methadone addiction with his ailing mother; a small town addict with a pill habit that has already resulted in a tragic, life-altering injury; and a strong-willed Texan who relies on her beauty to get meth while her young daughter is raised by concerned relatives..

Addiction specialists Rod Espudo and John Southworth joined the series for its eleventh season as new Interventionists, working alongside Jeff Van Vonderen and Candy Finnigan.

Twice nominated and in 2009 awarded the Emmy for Outstanding Reality Series, the five-time PRISM Award-winning series "Intervention" profiles people whose dependence on drugs and alcohol or other compulsive behavior has brought them to a point of personal crisis or estranged them from their friends and loved ones. Each episode ends with a surprise intervention that is staged by the family and friends of the addict, and which is conducted by one of the series four specialists.

The series has conducted 214 interventions since its premiere in March of 2005, 162 individuals are currently sober.

"Intervention" is produced by GRB Productions for A&E Network. Gary Benz, Michael Branton and Dan Partland are executive producers. Sam Mettler is executive consultant. A&E executive producers are Robert Sharenow and Jordana Hochman.
