The Jaafar family from "All-American Muslim" stars in the TLC reality docu-series.

Mike Jaafar, 37, a Deputy Chief Sheriff, and his wife Angela Jaafar, 34, a consultant to a major auto manufacturer, are juggling their busy careers with raising their four children in a modern Muslim family. They live in a predominantly Arab-American Muslim area outside of Dearborn.

Mike has been "protecting and serving" his county in various law enforcement capacities for the last seventeen years and has had to endure the ignorance and misunderstanding about his own community. On a daily basis, he proactively works to increase awareness and sensitivity toward American Muslims. Mike married his high school sweetheart and together they have four beautiful children: Jenna Jaafar, 10, Julia Jaafar, 8, Jad Jaafar, 4, and Ryan Jaafar, 3. A power-couple with the community's respect, the Jaafar family is prominent in and around Dearborn and Detroit. With their Arab-American Muslim culture deeply rooted by parents who still live in the Dearborn community, they bring their children and each other the everyday aspects of their faith and culture in no less profound ways.
