Jackie Pierson from "Biggest Loser 2014" is one of the contestants featured in Season 16 of the NBC reality weight-loss competition series. She is a clinical care coordinator from Pacifica, California.

Born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, Jackie Pierson is the oldest of five children in her family. She was a high school basketball player who won multiple MVP, All-City and All Star awards, was captain of her team when they won the state championship and was named MVP for that game. In addition, she was a high school volleyball player and captain of her high school varsity team for two years in a row; played soccer, baseball and rugby; and threw the javelin in high school.

Pierson was on track to a successful college basketball career when an ankle injury ended her dream of continuing to play. After earning her bachelor's degree in social work at the University of Manitoba, she earned her master's degree in education counseling at San Jose State University. Though she gained weight during her college years, Pierson gained the most after her dad was diagnosed with cancer and ultimately passed away in 2004.

Now 36 years old and 291 pounds, the married mother of two wants to lose weight so she can be there for her two daughters, ages 2 and 5. She wants to help her daughter with potential weight problems, and also hopes to take what she learns on the ranch back to her Native American community to inspire others to make healthy changes.
