Jackie Tohn from "Platinum Hit" is one of the contestants in the Bravo reality songwriting competition series. She writes songs in many genres from folk to pseudo hip-hop, pop, blues to reggae, drawing her inspiration from the likes of Ben Folds, Patty Griffin and Stevie Wonder. She would like to write songs for Miley Cyrus, Kesha, Colby Caillat and "American Idol" contestants. She is currently living in Los Angeles, California, but grew up in Oceanside, New York.

Tohn was previously in the top 36 contestants in Season 8 of FOX's "American Idol." She auditioned in East Rutherford, New Jersey, singing "I'm Yours" by Jason Mraz. All four judges voted yes to send her to Hollywood. She was in the first group of 12 contestants to perform out of the top 36. She did not receive enough votes to secure a spot among the finalists, and the judges decided not to give her a second chance on the wild card show.
Tohn has released two albums independently, "Beguiling" and "The Golden Girl EP." She is also an actress who has appeared on TV series such as "The Sopranos," "Angel," "Veronica Mars," and "The Closer."
Tohn holds an associate's degree in psychology from Santa Monica College. Her hobbies include acting, performing comedy and playing guitar.
