James Dupré from "The Voice" is one of top 48 artists in Season 9 of the NBC reality singing competition series. From Bayou Chicot, Louisiana, he is on Adam Levine's team.

James Dupré sang "Let Her Cry" by Hootie & the Blowfish for his blind audition. After all four judges turned their chairs around, James chose Levine to be his coach.

James' parents always believed in his musical talent and encouraged him to work hard at it. He started a family young and followed in his father's footsteps as a paramedic. But music kept calling him and he eventually gave up his career to pursue a music full time. James has had some small successes, appearing on TV shows and performing around the world. He wants to continue supporting his four sons through music, so he's giving "The Voice" a shot to prove he has what it takes.
