James Floyd stars in "Of Kings and Prophets" on ABC as Ish-Boseth.

Off his performance in the dramatic feature film "My Brother the Devil," which was nominated for the Grand Jury Prize and won Best Cinematography at the Sundance Film Festival in 2012, James Floyd won the British Independent Film Award for Best Newcomer, and the Milan International Film Festival Award for Best Male Actor. The film also won the Grand Jury Prize at LA Outfest and Best European Film at the Berlin Film Festival.

Floyd is also known for his lead performance in the dramatic film "Everywhere and Nowhere" and his comic turn opposite Alex Pettyfer in "Tormented." Floyd was also seen in the Irish film "The Infidel," alongside Richard Schiff and Archie Panjabi.

On UK television, Floyd played Freddie Mercury in the BBC's BAFTA Award-winning movie "Best Possible Taste: The Kenny Everett Story" and starred in ITV's movie "Compulsion" with Ray Winstone. On Sky One, Floyd starred in "Falcón" and played soccer star Miguel Lopez in "Dream Team." He made his television debut in BBC's long-running "Holby City."

Onstage, Floyd performed in productions of "The Glass Cage" at Royal & Derngate, "Dov & Ali" at Theatre 503, "Totally Practically Naked ... " at Tristan Bates Theatre, and "Antigone at Hell's Mouth" at Soho Theatre. He is an alumnus of National Youth Theatre.
