James Hiroyuki Liao stars in "Battle: Los Angeles" as LCpl. Steven Mottola. The science fiction action thriller co-stars Aaron Eckhart and Michelle Rodriguez.
A recent graduate of the prestigious Juilliard School, Liao has found a great deal of acting success in just a few short years.
Since graduating, he has appeared as Song Liling in "M. Butterfly" at the Arena Stage, "Management" starring Jennifer Aniston, and opposite Cybill Sheperd and Wesley Snipes in the film "Hard Luck."
He has also played guest roles on numerous television shows, including "Law & Order," "CSI: Miami," "Bones," "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation," and "The Shield," as well as recurring roles on "24" and "Prison Break."
James is a graduate of the Marjorie Ballentine Studio and a proud member of The Brave New Theatre Company, whose founder, Marjorie Ballentine, continues to be his acting coach and mentor.
