Janelle Arthur from "American Idol 2013" is one of the top 20 contestants in Season 12 of the FOX reality singing competition. She sang "Where the Blacktop Ends" by Keith Urban for her audition in Charlotte, North Carolina. All four judges voted yes to send her to Hollywood.

Janelle Arthur ("American Idol") previously made it to the Las Vegas round in Season 11 and to the Hollywood round in Season 10. She sang Duffy's "Syrup and Honey" and Shania Twain's "No One Needs to Know" for her audition that year in Nashville, Tennessee.

Arthur is a fitness instructor from Oliver Springs, Tennessee. She got her start performing as a young Dolly Parton at Dollywood. While still a child, she went on to be a regular performer at Country Tonite Theater in Pigeon Forge from 2001 – 2009.

She attended high school at Covenant Christian Academy in Sevierville, Tennessee. After graduating, she moved to Nashville to pursue her music career.
