Jason Dolley stars as Newt Livingston on Disney Channel's "Cory in the House." Jason Dolley has also joined the cast of Disney Channel's comedy "Good Luck Charlie," set to premiere in 2010. Born in Southern California, Jason Dolley is the youngest of four boys, two of which are now adults. With ambitions to be a professional actor, Jason Dolley participated in school plays and talent shows. Jason Dolley's first stage experience was performing the Abbott & Costello routine "Who's On First" with his brother in a school talent show, and they've since been requested to perform that routine for other shows and events. Jason Dolley started acting professionally at age 11. Within three months Jason Dolley had a role in a national commercial for Kellogg's Smorz cereal and a promotional video for The Discovery Channel. From here on, Jason has been diving into Hollywood with a big splash! Jason Dolley's big break came in 2004, when he landed a series regular role in the ABC comedy series, "Complete Savages" as T.J. Savage, the youngest of the five brothers. For his performance in that role, Jason Dolley won a Young Artist Award for "Best Performance in a TV Series" in 2005. Jason Dolley's first film credit was the lead role in the award-winning short film entitled "Chasing Daylight," in which he plays a boy attempting to cope with the loss of his best friend. The film was directed by Jeff Stephenson, won several festival awards including the Grand Prize at the 37th Worldfest Houston. In addition to the huge success of the film, Jason Dolley was nominated for another Young Artist Award for "Best Performance in a Short Film." During the 2006-07 pilot season, Jason Dolley was cast in the ABC/Touchtone drama pilot, "Enemies," during with he worked with famed director, F. Gary Gray ("Be Cool," "The Italian Job") and written and produced by Sean Bailey ("Matchstick Men"). In addition, Jason Dolley starred as Conner Kennedy in the popular Disney Channel Original Movie "Read it and Weep." Jason Dolley recently had a supporting role in the crime-drama feature "The Air I Breathe," starring Andy Garcia, Kevin Bacon, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Forest Whitaker, and Emille Hirsch among others. Jason Dolley plays the younger version of Brendan Fraser's character. The movie was shot on location in Mexico City. An excellent student, Jason Dolley maintains a consistent 4.0 grade point average. Jason Dolley was chosen to represent his school in several academic competitions including Spelling Bees, Math Olympics, and Speech Meets. Jason Dolley enjoys paintball battles and playing poker games with his friends. Other hobbies include hacky-sack and mastering yo-yo tricks. Among his other favorite pastimes are family camping trips and visits to Disneyland. Jason Dolley is active in his church youth group and helps both with the younger kids' classes on Sundays and with the Vacation Bible School. Born July 5, 1991, Jason Dolley resides in Los Angeles with his family and pet chocolate Labrador Retriever.
