Jason Olive stars in "Tyler Perry's For Better or Worse" on TBS as Joseph.

Jason Olive graduated on an English Scholarship from the University of Hawaii where he received a B.A. in English Literature and minored in Theatre. A student athlete, he was also a First Team All-American in Volleyball and recipient of the University's top honor, the Jack Bonham Award, as well as the State of Hawaii's top academic leadership honor the Governor's Award for Academic Excellence. He played in several pro tour events before following his love of acting.

Olive embarked on his acting career in 1998. Since that time he has appeared in numerous TV commercials (Levis, Calvin Klein, Revlon etc.), films and TV shows. In a breakout performance Olive played a lead role in the period piece "Feast of All Saints," a film adapted from Anne Rice's novel by acclaimed director Peter Medak. In 2003 he wrapped a 9-month stint on ABC's daytime show "All My Children" where he originated the role of Dr. Frank Hubbard. After leaving the show Olive began work as Kate Hudson's "fashionably friendly friend" in the feature film "Raising Helen" directed by Garry Marshal. Olive then appeared as a series regular on the critically acclaimed HBO comedy series "The Comeback" produced by Lisa Kudrow and Michael Patrick King.

The following year, Olive finished 4 films including lead roles in "A Jersey Christmas," directed by Eric Weber, and "Reversion" directed by Mia Trachinger which was an Official Sundance Selection. Olive returned to his love of volleyball to film "Green Flash" directed by Paul Nihipali (distributed by MGM) and a supporting role in Paul King's "818," an official selection at the 2011 Miami International Film Festival.

Directly following this, Olive returned to comedy playing a guest lead in Tyler Perry's hit comedy "House of Payne" and recurring roles on "The Game," The CW's revamp of "Melrose Place" and the FOX comedy "Traffic Light." Olive was also recently seen on the big screen in Greg Araki's critically acclaimed film "Kaboom."

In 2001 Jason created the Jayo Foundation. Since then he has dedicated himself to making the Jayo Invitational, the largest and most prestigious volleyball charity event in the country, a reality.
