Jason Ritter is best known to television audiences for his role as Kevin Girardi in the CBS drama "Joan of Arcadia." Jason Ritter's other television credits include "Hack," "Law & Order" and "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit," as well as a role in the movie "The Dreamer of Oz." Jason Ritter has appeared in the feature films "Mumford," "Happy Endings" and "Freddy vs. Jason." Jason Ritter's upcoming movies include "Our Very Own," "The Education of Charlie Banks" and "Lenexa, 1 Mile." Among Jason Ritter's theater credits are Wendy Wasserstein's "Third" at Lincoln Center, for which he won the Clarence Derwent Award and the Martin E. Segal Award for his portrayal of the title character, the Off-Broadway production of "The Beginning of August," and the role of Tim in the world premiere of Neil LaBute's play "The Distance From Here" at London's Almeida Theatre. Jason Ritter is a graduate of New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, where he studied at the Atlantic Theatre Company. Jason Ritter also studied at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London. Jason Ritter is the son of actors Nancy Morgan and the late John Ritter and the grandson of famed film cowboy Tex Ritter. Jason Ritter was born and raised in Los Angeles, where he currently lives.
