JC Woolridge from "Coal" stars in the Spike TV reality docu-series about coal miners. JC ("Coal") is a superintendent who works the day shift in the mine.

JC Woolridge started his mining career the summer of his first year in college and never went back. At the time he wanted to be a high school coach, but was drawn to the mines by the good pay. With his 35 year career in the mines, he's seen his share of accidents, but fortunately he's never been hurt himself, making him a bit of an anomaly in the mining industry. In fact, he received a certificate from the government for more than 30 years of a clean safety record and hopes to continue his streak at Cobalt Coal.
